Butterfly’s National Helpline and Online Chat provide free, confidential support for anyone with a question about eating disorders or negative body image, including sufferers, carers, family and friends, teachers, employers and more. The service can provide

  • Information on available services in your area
  • Connections with other services and specialists.

The National Helpline and Online Chat service are open 8am-12am AEST (7 days a week) daylight savings adjusted (except national public holidays).

Western Australia

WA Eating Disorders Outreach & Consultation Service (WAEDOCS)
WAEDOCS is a state-wide service that aims to ensure youth and adults in WA with an eating disorder can access optimal best practice care. This will be facilitated through up-skilling and inspiring health care professionals to deliver evidence-based high quality eating disorders care. WAEDOCS provides; (1) Consultation liaison, clinician mentoring and support to help clinicians to manage their patient(s); (2) Clinician training and education; (3) Resources to guide safe inpatient management of people with eating disorders.

Statewide Eating Disorder Service (SEDS)
SEDS is a specialised mental health service for all South Australians and provides assessment, care and information for people living with an eating disorder, or where an eating disorder may be developing. Provision of evidenced based care and help is extended also to professionals, families and carers looking after people with an eating disorder. SEDS is not an emergency or crisis service.
