Queensland Eating Disorder Service (QuEDS)

QuEDS are QLD Health's state-based service providing support and information for health professionals in inpatient and outpatient services.

A Specialist Consultation clinic assessment service is offered via referral from GP. The assessment provides diagnostic clarification and treatment advice and feedback recommendations for ongoing management or referral to the health professional or health service.

Education and training is available to health professionals and health services on a state-wide basis. This includes training in treatment options such as guided self-help.

QuEDS Consultation service can also facilitate tertiary referrals to specialist inpatient services if required after consultancy on treatment in their local area.

QuEDS runs an evidenced-based Day Program for Eating Disorder Treatment (4 days per week). QuEDS also has an outpatient clinic providing individual CBT-E and SSCM therapy. All QuEDS treatment services are government funded and provided at no cost.
