Wesley Eating Disorder Centre at Wesley Hospital Ashfield, Discover-Recover Day Program

Run from a small cottage in the grounds of the hospital, Wesley Hospital Eating Disorders day program, Discover-Recover offers nutritional guidance and meal supervision to encourage regular eating plus creative and therapeutic group content to raise self-awareness and self-responsibility.

What we do

The program includes input from dietitians, group therapists, as well as movement, art therapy, and horticulture therapy. With a focus on supporting people to regulate their eating individuals are guided through the program in collaboration with a care Co-ordinator from the team who will offer individual support with planning and goal setting.

Who can come to Discover-Recover day program?

Any person struggling in the community with an eating disorder who wants to work in a committed way towards recovery. All those who attend need the ongoing additional support of a GP. It is also important people are linked with a counsellor or therapist of their own to make the best use of the skills they learn and develop during their attendance.
