National Strategy Implementation Database

This database provides examples of system-building initiatives that have been developed and implemented across Australia. The purpose of this database is to:

  • Inspire other system-builders for action

  • Provide example frameworks and models that can be adapted to different contexts

  • Provide updates on implementation of the National Eating Disorders Strategy 2023-2033 (National Strategy)

  • Support connections across the sector, and between individuals that are working in similar areas and contexts.

Each initiative included in this database aligns with one or more of the Standards and Actions in the National Strategy. Within each tile below, you will find a description of the initiative, the specific Standards and Actions it aligns with, and contact details.

If you have a system-building initiative that you would like included in this database, please email nationalstrategy@nedc.com.au

NEDC endeavours to connect and promote high quality information. The initiatives in this directory are provided by a variety of organisations and services. Inclusion in this directory does not constitute endorsement or clinical recommendation.  If interested, NEDC recommends that you access information about the evidence base of individual initiatives via the organisation’s website or by contacting the organisation directly.

How to use this database

You can use the following filters to help refine your search:

  • Component of the system of care (e.g., prevention)

  • State and territory. Programs which are of national reach can be found under all state and territory listings.

NEDC encourages you to engage with the relevant initiatives and contacts within this database to guide your own system-building work. Remember, everyone has a role to play in building an effective, equitable and coordinated system of care for eating disorders.
